Jiulong Baguazhang translates as: Nine Dragon Eight Trigram Palm. The system was created by professional bodyguards over 400 years ago in China and has been tested in real combat. It is not a tournament fighting art, so there are no competitions to win or belts to earn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jiulong Baguazhang (Ba-gwa) is a powerful and effective martial art and a system of exercises designed to enhance the body\u2019s natural ability towards relaxation, power and self-defence. Baguazhang is a fusion of Daoist meditation. Dao Yin (Chinese Yoga) exercises, Tai Ji Quan-like gentle movements buliding up to controlled aerobic stepping patterns, to stimulate internal energies for health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While it is good to have an ancient lineage, the real question is: Will these methods work for you? Only you can find the answer to these questions and you are welcome to attend a class in which to start looking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
