Slow is good it aids balance and coordination of mind and body: Circle Walking vs Linear Walking

We introduced some of our Rolling The Peal (RTP) beginners to a new stepping pattern, the Night Swallow Step, which is used to evade multiple attackers while on the move. Others worked on linear forms and circle walking forms at a slow speed to aid with balance and coordination. An essential part of the class was executing the ba-step, paying particular attention to keeping an upright posture and the external coordinates.
